Health Care Workforce - Arizona
CHIR conducts health care workforce research and provides related information service in Arizona. This initiative includes:
- Maintenance of a longitudinal database, including administrative data for licensed allopathic and osteopathic physicians, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Performs ongoing assessments of the supply and demand of these licensed health professionals.
- Conducts surveys of the above professionals during their application for new licenses, graduating residents (physicians), and license renewal.
- Develops analytical models to forecast future physician needs.
- Additional licensed health care professionals to be added to the database.

This projects collects, manages and analyzes administrative, demographic, and survey data on nursing and pharmacy professions.
